Inspired by both real life events and the 2017-2019 AMC pre-roll

The idea came to me suddenly, like a corn kernel popping. I rushed to pitch it to my wife:

“We can announce that you’re pregnant with a parody of a movie theater pre-roll using us as the happy-go-lucky cinema-goers on our date night. We each get a close up as we take our seats lovingly glancing at each other, and implying that our seats are together. The next shot will reveal there’s a seat between us—we each have big popcorn tubs, and there’s a little one in the middle!”

She loved it. The rest is a history involving some hasty self-teachings on photoshop, green screen effects, impromptu custom popcorn bag props, and a delicious day of shooting!
